I have to say this picture just kinda "works." For some reason the DP's seem like they belong. Also, I really can't see how they're going to be hurting to have enough cars on the grid next year like so many people have claimed.

Are there any plans for a P2/DP test this weekend? Or does that make too much sense?

I believe that both parties think that this whole race is a P2/DP test, and sadly that means they won't bother to put the cars on track together. They will do a wind tunnel test, at least, but I doubt they'll actually physically test the two together.

I don't think there's any benefit to having them on track simultaneously. Wind tunnel will have the full instrumentation needed (but should have been done months ago) and telemetry from the adjacent sessions gives good data in equivalent conditions. Don't see much benefit unless they throw a beta of the BoP on a few cars, but the teams wouldn't want to do that until Monday at the earliest.

Don't look at the BMWs, look at the Corvette's. And the Ford with the newest bodywork coming next year.

I prefer them, they look like LMPs from last decade, instead of the space ships they've become. I'm a fan of clean lines.
